The Lost Ticket
Last summer I travelled to another city by train.
去年夏天我坐火车去了另一个城市。
I arrived at the station forty minutes early.
我提前四十分钟到了火车站。
I bought a coffee and sat down to wait.
我买了一杯咖啡，坐下来等。
When the train came, I looked for my ticket.
火车来的时候，我找我的车票。
It was not in my pocket. It was not in my bag.
口袋里没有。包里也没有。
I looked everywhere, but I could not find it.
我到处找，可是找不到。
The train was leaving in five minutes and I was worried.
火车五分钟后就要开了，我很着急。
Then a woman near me said, "Is this yours?"
这时旁边一位女士说：“这是你的吗？”
She was holding my ticket. It had fallen under her seat.
她手里拿着我的车票。车票掉到了她的座位下面。
I thanked her and ran to the platform.
我谢了她，跑向站台。
I got on the train with one minute to spare.
我在开车前一分钟上了车。
