The Rainy Holiday
Two years ago my family went to the beach for a week.
两年前我们全家去海边度了一个星期的假。
We planned to swim every day.
我们计划每天游泳。
On the first morning the sun was bright.
第一天早上阳光很好。
But in the afternoon it started to rain.
但是下午开始下雨了。
It rained the next day, and the day after that.
第二天下雨，第三天也下雨。
In fact it rained for five days.
其实一共下了五天。
My little brother was very unhappy.
我弟弟很不高兴。
So we stayed inside and played board games.
所以我们待在屋里玩桌游。
My father taught us a card game from his childhood.
爸爸教了我们一个他小时候玩的纸牌游戏。
We laughed more that week than in the whole year.
那个星期我们笑得比一整年都多。
Now when we talk about that holiday, nobody talks about the rain.
现在我们说起那次假期，没有人提下雨的事。
