Cooking for Friends
Last month I invited three friends for dinner.
上个月我请了三个朋友来吃晚饭。
It was the first time I cooked for other people.

I chose a chicken recipe from the internet.

It said the chicken needed forty minutes.

While I was waiting, my phone rang.

I talked to my sister for twenty minutes.

When I went back to the kitchen, the chicken was black.
我回到厨房的时候，鸡肉已经黑了。
My friends arrived ten minutes later.
十分钟以后我的朋友们到了。
I told them the truth and we all laughed.
我把实话告诉他们，大家都笑了。
Luckily I had dumplings in the freezer.
还好我冰箱里有饺子。
We ate dumplings and talked until midnight.
我们吃着饺子，聊到半夜。
