Chinese Matching Worksheet Generator (连一连)
The classic 连一连: hanzi on the left, shuffled meanings (or pinyin) on the right, lines in between. The gentlest vocabulary check there is — and the fastest to make.

What is a 连一连 matching worksheet?
连一连 ('connect them') is the standard Chinese classroom matching exercise: numbered items on the left, lettered items on the right in shuffled order, and students draw a line between each pair. Here the left column is hanzi and the right column is the English meaning or the pinyin — both classic first-checks of new vocabulary.
How many word pairs fit on one worksheet?
Up to 15 pairs per sheet keeps the lines drawable — beyond that, matching lines cross so much the exercise becomes guesswork. If you select more than 15 words, the first 15 usable ones are used.
Should the right column show meanings or pinyin?
Meanings test comprehension (character → sense) and suit quizzes after teaching a word set. Pinyin tests pronunciation recall (character → sound) and works well right after introducing new characters. Printing both versions of the same list makes a quick two-day review pair.
Is there an answer key?
Yes — tick 'Answer key' and a second page prints every pair as 1 → c with the full word, so grading is a ten-second scan.
