Practise 24 words with a matching picture on every card. Try saying the animal's name before you read the Chinese, then check the pinyin and meaning. Use Listen when available, and save the animals you keep forgetting to your review deck.
Each picture shows the animal on its card. The three round badges stand for animals in general, and the heart with a paw print inside a house stands for a pet. The fish is drawn in a bowl because it sits with the pets, but the card simply means fish. Background colors follow the groups: peach for pets, green for the farm, sand for wild animals, blue for the sea and lavender for birds and insects. A few pictures move once when a card appears and stay still if your device asks for reduced motion. This is a selection of 24 common animals; the animal guide lists 100 with audio and explains which measure word each one takes.
