Practice Tips

  • Center on the guides: The main rule is to keep your character centered where the orange lines cross
  • Any size works: Draw small for detailed practice or large to fill the canvas - both are fine!
  • Daily practice: 10-15 minutes per day is better than 2 hours once a week
  • Start simple: Begin with 1-5 stroke characters before complex ones
  • Muscle memory: Write each character 10-20 times to build automaticity
  • Use proper stroke order: Check the Stroke Order Animator for guidance
  • Mix it up: Practice different character sets to stay engaged
