Family & Relationships Chinese Flashcards
Practise family and relationship words with little family-tree pictures. Compare siblings and relatives, hear each word, and save the ones you want to remember.
About this deck
Practise 24 words with a matching picture on every card. Try naming the highlighted person before checking the Chinese, pinyin and meaning. Use Listen when available, then save a word to revisit it in your review deck.
In the tree pictures, the person with a star is the starting point; gold outlines mark the people to name. Follow the branches upward to parents and grandparents. Fathers have short hair; mothers have a bun. Sibling pictures share a branch: the larger figure represents the older sibling, the smaller one the younger sibling. These are example relationships, not a picture of every family. The family guide explains the relatives in more detail, including terms whose dictionary meaning is simply Uncle or Grandmother.
