下雨天
上个星期天，我们本来要去公园玩。
Last Sunday we were supposed to go and play in the park.
早上天气还很好。
The weather was still fine in the morning.
我们准备了很多吃的东西。
We got a lot of food ready.
可是我们刚出门，天就黑了。
But the moment we stepped out, the sky went dark.
忽然下起了大雨。
Suddenly it began to pour.
我们没有带伞，只好跑回家。
We hadn't brought an umbrella, so we had to run home.
回到家的时候，大家的衣服都湿了。
By the time we got back everyone's clothes were soaked.
弟弟很不高兴，因为他很想去公园。
My little brother was upset, because he'd really wanted to go.
妈妈说：“在家也可以玩。”
Mum said, "You can have fun at home too."
我们就在客厅里吃东西、看电影、玩游戏。
So we ate in the living room, watched a film and played games.
最后弟弟说：“今天比去公园还好玩。”
In the end my brother said, "Today was even more fun than the park."
