在超市
星期六下午，妈妈让我去超市买东西。
On Saturday afternoon mum asked me to go to the supermarket.
她给了我一张纸，上面写着五样东西。
She gave me a piece of paper with five things written on it.
鸡蛋、牛奶、面包、水果和茶。
Eggs, milk, bread, fruit and tea.
超市离我家很近，走路只要十分钟。
The supermarket is close to us — ten minutes on foot.
超市里的东西很多，我找了很长时间。
There was so much in the shop that it took me ages to find things.
牛奶在最里边，水果在门旁边。
The milk was at the very back and the fruit was by the door.
买完以后，我去付钱。
After I'd got everything I went to pay.
等着付钱的人非常多，我排了二十分钟的队。
There were a lot of people waiting; I queued for twenty minutes.
回到家，妈妈看了看，说：“茶呢？”
When I got home mum looked and said, "Where's the tea?"
我把那张纸拿出来一看——我真的忘了。
I pulled out the list and looked — I really had forgotten it.
妈妈笑了：“没关系，明天再买吧。”
Mum laughed: "Never mind, buy it tomorrow."
