面试
昨天我去参加了一个面试。
Yesterday I went to a job interview.
那家公司在市中心，坐地铁要四十分钟。
The company is in the city centre, forty minutes by underground.
为了这次面试，我准备了整整一个星期。
I'd prepared for a full week for it.
我把可能被问到的问题都写了下来。
I'd written down every question I might be asked.
到了那里以后，我还是很紧张。
Even so, I was nervous when I got there.
面试我的一共有两个人。
Two people interviewed me.
前面的问题我都回答得不错。
I answered the first questions well enough.
可是最后一个问题让我愣住了：“你觉得自己最大的缺点是什么？”
But the last question stopped me: "What do you think your biggest weakness is?"
我想了几秒钟，然后老老实实地说：“我做事太慢，因为我怕做错。”
I thought for a few seconds and then said honestly, "I work too slowly, because I'm afraid of making mistakes."
那个人点了点头，没说什么。
The interviewer nodded and said nothing.
走出大楼的时候，我以为自己肯定没有机会了。
Walking out of the building, I was sure I'd blown it.
可是今天早上，他们打电话来了。
But this morning they rang.
